I have two Membership Rewards accounts, one tied to a personl run of the mill Green card and one tied to the Amex Corporate Card sponsored by my employer.
Not sure how it happened but I have two different MR accounts and each card posts points to their respective accounts.

I have been able to transfer points from one account to another by calling MR but sometimes the CSR's think it is a little shady for some reason.

Can I combine these accounts and would that result in eliminating one of the annual MR fees that I have been paying

so you want to close the green card?

I have been able to transfer points from one account to another by calling MR why not have them transfer to corporate and close the green?

There appears to be no reason the accounts could not be merged...

Q: If I have more than one type of American Express Card, or have Additional Cards on my account, how many and which ones can I link to my Membership Rewards account?

A: To view a list of the Cards that can be linked to your Membership Rewards account click here. If you have one or more of these Cards, you can link them all to your account, along with any Additional Cards you have on these accounts. You can also link any eligible Corporate Card issued in your name for a fee. However, you cannot link Additional Corporate Cards issued to any other individual. Also, enrolled Corporate Cards from the same company cannot be pooled into one account.
