Anyway, the other day somebody suggested transferring AMEX M/R to DELTA and then onto HH as apparently you get 1 MR = 1 DE = 2 HH.

Problem is, I cant find confirmation of this on the DELTA website anywhere ?

Any tips or a URL would be good ???

InsideFlyer has written about this for years. The normal redemption rate for MR to Hilton HHonors points is one MR point equals 1.3 HHonors points. You would normally be aware that your can transfer MR points into Delta SkyMiles at a one to one basis. The link abouve points out that in the Hilton Rewards Exchange, one Delta SkyMile is equal to two HHonors points on conversion, meaning that if you follwo this advice, you'll earn 54% more HHonors points with the double conversion than going MR to HHonors direct. Now, this is the standard advice.

A recent article in InsideFlyer (it is wirth the subscription) advises anyone anticipating any transfers to Hilton anytime in the next year from their MR account to take action on that right now. The reason is that MR has a special conversion bonus with Delta SkyMiles going on right now through the end of June which if you transfer 250,000 MR points you'll earn an additional 10% bonus; 350,000 MR points earns a 15% bonus and transfering over 500,000 MR points to Delta earns a 20% bonus. So, let's say you are just transferring 250,000 MR points into SkyMiles. The extra 10% bonus of 25,000 SkyMiles can be converted into 50,000 HHonors points which is alomost 4 free nights. or if you really are doing this for HHonors points, the 250,000 MR points which normally would earn you 325,000 HHnors points the dorect method, will now earn you a total of 550,000 HHonors points - a gain of 225,000 HHonors points just by paying attention.

Hope this helps. Remember, the transfer bonus is only until June 30 with MR and Delta SkyMiles but really anytime is still great with this.

(Presuming you don't have enough MR points for the Delta transfer bonus), you can use this method with other airlines' programs.

Randy, sorry to trouble you with a foolish question. If you do the MR-DL-HH conversion, what then is the exchange rate to transfer the HH points back to DL?

Elementary my Dear Watson - 10,000 HHonors points equals 1,500 SkyMiles. Which means....once you go points, never go back.
