Hyatt Gold Passport - FFN Earning Possible At New Hyatt Brands

It was never clear to me if it was possible to earn FFNs through stays at the new Amerisuites, Summerfield, Hyatt Place locations that are now part of the Gold Passport program.....it has been cleared up now.

I am staying at one of the new properties and there is flyer in my room which says that not only may I earn FFNs by paying for my room with my Mastercard, but I may also redeem FFNs at the newly rebranded properties.

On a side note, I like the look and feel of the room. My only wish is that they would have added power outlets near the desk. Instead, my power cables are running many feet to the sink/mini-bar area.

no FFN credit for the new brands according to the GP Concierge. I would double check that this brochure was not placed there by accident.

If this is some kind of a change and not an error or some sort....then it is certainly a major development.

I just checked the FFN Ts and Cs. They continue to say:

Stays at Hyatt Place™, Hyatt Summerfield Suites®, AmeriSuites® and Hawthorn Suites® are not valid towards earning or redeeming Faster Free Nights Award(s).

Can you scan the flyer and post a link to it here on FT?? I too am skeptical because all the rules say that these new properties are NOT eligible for FFN......

 If they are, well, I just blew a few FFN.. I've been using my amex.

But, I doubt they are eligible - it would just be too sweet a deal.

I did not receive an FFN credit for a Summerfield stay which has posted that I paid for with a MC

I guess I have to use my M/C for my next 2 stays.

this would be my luck though.. just checked out of a SS yesterday and used my AX since it didn't pay any dividends to use the MC.

On that note, I did pay with the MC on my first SS stay on Jan 1 and didn't receive any FFN credit.

Has anyone actually called GP and challenged them on this?

I need to go to the SS and print this stuff out.

Good find Beanstalk

Why do I get the feeling this is for new members only?

Join Hyatt Gold Passport and Earn a Free Night After Your Second Stay.

I noticed a FFN poster in the SS - with a picture of the GH Kauai pool - and almost said to the clerk, "Why is this here? You can't earn them at SS"

I am totally confused here, this is a different free night promotion for new members right? You can only earn 1 free night so it's not really FFN. And I didn't see where it said you had to pay with MC but I certainly may have missed it.

I think we're all confused :).

Actually, I do think it's for new members. I don't know for sure, but it's just a hunch I have.

It's for new GP members and is limited to 1 earned FFN. I got all excited about it, earlier this morning, until I read the T&Cs.

To me, the Ts and Cs are very clear that the offer is only for members who enroll in 1st quarter 2007.

you must enroll in Hyatt Gold Passport at any Hyatt Place, Hyatt Summerfield Suites, AmeriSuites or Hawthorn Suites hotel or their respective brand website between January 1, 2007 and March 31, 2007.

I noticed this while having breakfast with my kids at the AS-Orlando Convention Center. I really did not take it that way, so it seems entirely unclear!

I do not see the traditional exclusion of Paris Madeleine & Manchester San Diego on the use of this FFN ;) !

Faster Free Nights Award(s) redemption is not valid at Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego or Hyatt Regency Paris - Madeleine.

JNB71, I was referring to this new FFN-LIKE promo via Summerfield Suites.

I suppose if some of us have spouses or travel companions who are not already GP members, we can sign them up... but then how would we get our Diamond privileges ;) ?

Sorry for my misunderstanding.

What if "spouse" or "companion" books the reward stay then add a Diamond on the reservation and let the Diamond check in. In my experience, I think we should be able to get RC access at most Hyatt.

Anyway, the FFN-LIKE expires only one month after MC FFN. It is not very useful.

Call the diamond line and they will apply your spouses FFN to your reservation.

I've done this several times.
