Presumably you meant points for the stay, correct?
Any CC will work.
You will not get HH points for the $ amount charged on any Amex card except the HH Amex (also am not sure you get the 500 points for on-line booking usiing any other Amex).

Not the Amex card but the amex corporate travel website most companies use. Sorry for the misunderstanding

Oh OK someone else might need to give you a definite answer but I do recall a friend mentioning he had some problems going that route.

Our company uses Amex as well, however I book trips through our corporate travel site. I get a confirmation email from AMERICAN EXPRESS TRAVEL with flight, hotel, car, etc. I presume what happens is that when I send the itinerary for booking, it's sent to Amex, which then processes it. So I'm not booking directly on the Amex site, but I've always received points for those hotel stays. YMMV.

AmEx Business/Corporate Travel web bookings -- or phone bookings, for that matter -- will not earn your HHonors points. As stated earlier, the stay, however, will earn your the HH points.
The only bene that you can milk out of this one when using this service is card-related.
For example, if you have an AmEx card and are enrolled in Membership Rewards, your charge would accrue the MR points. (That's what I do because I have to use the AmEx corporate card when I travel.) Or if you paid with an airline credit card, you'd get that card's rate for charges to FF miles....and so on (plug in your preferred spending-based cc program here).

Yes, you will earn your HH points/stays by booking through the Corp. Travel web site.
