I called Hilton in November to try and get a status comp to gold, they said no but enrolled me in the challenge (4 stays in 90 days).

I completed my 4th stay on last Saturday and was gold on Tuesday.

Now the hilton web site says I'm gold until April 30, 2009. I thought it was a yearly thing???

I just checked out of the Hilton Vegas (hasn't posted) and that bill was over $6,000 (base fees, $9,000 with taxes, extra services, etc.). That hasn't even posted yet. I assume when that posts (which gives me more than 60,000 base points (I think)) my timeline will remain the same? I guess that means I don't need to worry/focus on re-qualifying for Gold until 2008, right?

This was covered in another thread by me asking about how many points I'd get, but the short of it was:

5 nights in a large suite for CES. Rate was over $1,200 per day.

Better though is 5 nights I got at the Renaissance Hotel across the street. $1,900 / day base rate.
