Does F9 have a status matching program? Tomcat98 foxnine Jan 12, 07, 4:33 pm Frontier discontinued the QuickAscent program a while back, so currently, there is no status matching in effect. myleguy Jan 12, 07, 7:31 pm I have read posts indicating that Frontier has comped some people to Ascent on an ad hoc basis, notwithstanding the demise of Quick Ascent. They would be foolish not to comp someone with 125 UA segments. Tomcat98 Let us know if it works. I'm also a UA 1K who came over the Frontier board to find out the same information. Duckman Feb 15, 07, 4:34 pm Any luck with Status Match? EasternTraveler Feb 27, 07, 7:43 am I would like to know how the status match is coming. I would like to fly Frontier to some destinations if the price is right, but I have absolutely no status with them as I have never flown them. I do have status with American that I would like get matched. If anyone knows who or how to contact them for this please post. thank you and have a nice day. cpmed43 Mar 5, 07, 1:10 am I tried asking for a status match a few weeks ago and received a reply saying that they no longer did that. Oh well. wboll Mar 12, 07, 8:52 am I tried asking for a status match a few weeks ago and received a reply saying that they no longer did that. Oh well. They told me the same thing last year. I fly 80-90K a year. Does anybody know their logic in 86'ing this program? It seems like they are turning away a lot of potential business. I'm just guessing here, but I would assume that there were people (like me) that would show status on UA then only fly a limited amount on F9. However, I think that even in this situation, it still was smart of F9 to give Quick Ascent. If a person flies 30 segs on UA and 4 on F9, why not treat that person to the ascent/summit line at check-in and give him free direct TV for those 4 segments as a way for saying "thanks for not being 100% loyal"? Its 4 segments that potentially F9 wouldn't otherwise get. redbeard911 Mar 13, 07, 10:46 am The main purpose of a program like this is to get people to try you out, and hopefully switch from a preferred carrier. I was comped to Ascent a few years ago, and qualified for Summit the following year. Last year, UA offered teh DYMTWTU promo, and I dropped to about 3K on F9. I did not get a soft landing. I will do about 5K on F9 this year with no status. omahajim May 16, 07, 12:44 pm Had the same question (I'm a UA Premier Executive seeking status match to Summit), did the search, found this thread. FYI I called today (May 16) and asked for a match, told "we don't match anymore" (she said with a rather exasperated voice, but could have been unrelated to my question). |
