Miles & More (Lufthansa, Austrian, Swiss, and other partners) - Upgrading MIA-FRA-IST

My uncle will be flying MIA-FRA-IST on Feb 1

I would really like to upgrade him. I have no status on Lufthansa and honestly this is the first time I have been to your forum.

I have a lot AA miles, Delta miles, Continental miles, Amex MR points.

Can this upgrade be done?

Will I have to do a trade in the coupon connection? When I post there what would be some of the possibilities.

Nope- you can use UA SWUs to upgrade I believe. Since I have nothing to do with MP, don't know how it would work.

Upgrades are possible with UA miles as a *A upgrade from Y to C !

However, the original ticket has to be booked in the classes Y or B :rolleyes:
