Stayed here for a comp weekend. It is verrrrrrrry far of the beaten path-Charlston and the 215- and yet in the midst of the uber urban sprawl that is now Las Vegas.
You must have a car with you at this property-or you will be stuck here.
Valet parking is woefully understaffed/badly supervised.Better to use the adjoining lot(both free)unless you like to wait for the valets at both drop off and pick up.
Lobby is gorgous.Very dramatic-like a W or the St.Regis in SF.
Checkin was a frigid unfriendly affair. Not a welcome I appriciate as it sets the tone for the stay in my book.
Room was very large, not as large as the JW marriotts,The Venitian,or The Wynn, but larger than most strip rooms.Connecting door(why?)and the rooms door is visable from the bed(bad layout)The room on the 17th floor had an incredible view of the entire Las Vegas valley-the strip looked tiny from this distance!
Furnishings were all new and very modern.Decor was chocolate vinyl wall coverings, tribal pattern cream/chocolate carpet.marble bathroom with deep soaking tub/TV-with limited channels above the tub/seperate shower/private WC/double vanity. The bathroom really was the best part off the room.Big flat pannel panasonic TV,bose wave radio-with an impossible to figure out clock radio attachment-which was set by housekeeping (an accident while dusting I am sure)for 5:30 am on Sunday
No coffee maker/service in the room
Sound from hallway was channeled right to your bed
Casino is very large and very modern-I went through my daily allowence rather quickly but gave them enough play to get my minor meals(coffee shop/2 buffets)from points.
There is a very nice and expensive Steak house here called Bones-good meat/salads.
A very nice property that could be a lot better.
