Northwest Airlines flew its last DC-10 from Honolulu to the Mainland on Monday, retiring the workhorse of its fleet after more than 30 years of service.
Northwest's first DC-10 entered service in 1972 and the widebody jet built by McDonnell Douglas has been a familiar part of Northwest's routes to Hawaii and Asia for years.

"It doesn't have the bells and whistles for the passengers or the flight deck crew that the A330 has, but it's a wonderful old airplane," Barzen told the Star Tribune newspaper.

Maybe wonderful in it's day, but today it's just OLD. Bout time Northwest.
