I'm looking to get a 2 bedroom suite in one of the major 5* stars from 18th to 21st March (Bellagio, Wynn, Venetian, MGM Signature, Mandalay etc).
1. Would $400 a night budget be realistic for a two bed suite on a Sunday to Wedensday stay (the hotels above don't seem to show these rates online)?
2. If $400 a night is not realistic what would a typical rate be for a two bed suite?
3. Lastly would a two bed suite be the best option over 2 standard rooms for two couples if the price is similar? (online rates for standard rooms for dates above are from $199 up)
Much appreciation for any help,

1. No. FYI Most "2 Bedroom Suites" are going to be a standard 1 BR suite with an adjoining standard room. $400/night would likely get you this arrangement at the Rio, Flamingo, Ballys or other property of that caliber.
2. $750/nt minimum, although even this may be optimistic.
3. Two standard rooms is definitely going to be much cheaper. Suite arrangement would give you a nice common area to hang out in.

I'm assuming the dates you meant are for February since 2/18-23 falls on Sun-Wed. For the Venetian, $400 will likely get you only the Bella Suite which would be two beds and a separate living room which has a sofabed which could be an option for you.

2. $750/nt minimum, although even this may be optimistic. Agreed. The cheapest one bedroom suites I've seen at Bellagio, for example, start north of $400. Often these hotels don't even make larger rooms available for paying guests; they're reserved for casino high rollers.

Actually -- one additional idea. Check out The Signature at MGM Grand. They have 2 bedrooms, but you have to call to book (only studios and 1BRs available online). I've seen the 1 bedrooms for ~$270, so you may actually be able to get a 2-bedroom midweek (if no major conventions) near your budget. The Signature is the condo-hotel tower behind the MGM Grand. Definitely 5* accomodations/amenities, I stayed there recently; only drawback is location. A bit of a walk into the MGM Grand, although if you're going to drive to other casinos you have pretty easy access to Harmon east of the Strip. This isn't the "real" Vegas experience though, so you still may be better off with 2 standard rooms at one of the bit 5* resorts.

I had been looking at the MGM Signature, on the MGM website it states 2 bedroom suites from $409+, but the more I think about the more I want to actually stay in a casino rather than just a hotel as this will only be my second Vegas visit (previously stayed in Venetian). I had kinda thought that rates for the other 5* casinos suites would be expensive, so I'll probably stick to the advice and keep on the lookout for a deal on two standard rooms!
Thanks for all the advice!,

Just to be clear, The Signature is connected to the MGM Grand -- by a moving walkway. It's about a 3-4 minute walk to the MGM Spa and about 7-10 minutes to the back of the casino. MGM casino is big, so add another few minutes to get to the front of the casino and Strip access. So if you're primarly going to stay on the MGM property, Signature is fine, if you want easy access to other casinos, it's not your best bet. (But also keep in mind that getting from say, Bellagio to other casinos can take 10 minutes or so given how far back the casino is set from the Strip (behind the lake).

Having just stayed in one of the Bellagio Suites, I would classify what we had as a larger hotel room. There were no separate sitting room and bedroom. It was a large bedroom of about 700 sq feet with a desk and sofa and then the bed. The bathroom was upgraded, very large, and did have a whirlpool tub. If I had been paying for it, I would have found it a ripoff.
