AirTran Airways A+ Rewards - Free change on A+ tickets now gone (and all change fees are now $60)

Just booked an A+ coach award from RIC-MIA in April (plenty of availability, which was nice) and was advised that the one free change for reward tickets is now gone. Any change, other than free same-day standby, now incurs a change fee, which on Jan. 1 was raised to $60 from $50.
I can understand that AirTran needs to make more money and that an easy way to do so is to increase fees, but they should at least allow free date changes on award tickets IMHO (as certain other airlines do).

The change fee is the reason that I will not use Airtran much if they take over Midwest in Milwaukee. Milwaukee is about the same distance as Midway, but as long as Southwest has no change fee and airtran does, the decision will go to Southwest.

Then again Southwest doesnt allow standby, while it is free on Airtran.

I know someone that did a free change on a coach award ticket yesterday. This may only apply to reservatons made after a certain date but I believe reservations currently held are changeable for free.

Does the change fee apply to A+ Biz class reward seats as well?

since they had unlimited free changes I doubt it was changed.
