I rent cars 40 times/year or so in the USA. I have a budget for all my travel and my airfares with planning have remained flat, my hotel/motel expenses are slightly up, BUT my car rentals since about Nov. 2006 have doubled on a per diem basis. I know that the car manufacturers have cut production but many car rental lots are loaded with rentals. Are there any discount websites for cars or new discount codes. In Jan. '06 I rented for $150/wk.+ taxes, now it is $300+. HELP!!
