I just rented a Standard SUV on points from Denver International for a Wedn night through Monday morning rental. Does anyone have any experience as to what I should expect? I am a President's Circle member and wondering if there is a possiblity of an upgrade.

STANDARD SUV AUTOMATIC AIR / NISSAN XTERRA 4WD/AWD OR SIMILAR

I used the 'PC 956760' code that cost me 4000 points and I will pay fees of approximately $65. The call service rep looked this up for me and I believe it to be a pretty good deal for a SUV if anyone else needs to use. Are there any other better deals that you know of that could save me more points?

Thanks!

There is always a possibility of an upgrade. Not sure if they would have any availability since Denver had a bit of snow.

4000 points is a week long specialty class rental. If you picked up on Thursday morning, you might be able to use a 2,800 point non-peak weekend specialty rental award instead. How much money would it have cost otherwise?

Personally, I save my points for week long Prestige vehicle rentals (5,000 points) which tend to cost a lot, ~$600-$3,200 / wk.

Thanks for the good advice.. I will call them and see if I can tweak my schedule to make this work.

The quoted price was around $500 so this would save me about $440.
