Hi All - not a vegas veteran so I would appreciate any suggestions on the the best place would be to watch the BCS Game on Monday night 1/8? Looking for a place where the game will be the focus - good TV viewing to SEE and HEAR the game along with good drinks/food.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions:)
PS. I called ESPN zone and they said - first come first serve. If I don't find someplace else - any ideas on how early one would need to arrive to secure good seats? Game starts at 8:30 EST

The 777 brewpup at Main Street Station would be my first thought if you want to also be in a casino. Good beer, food and lots of TVs.
You also might want to scout around for an off-strip local bar. I've stopped at PTs pub on Tropicana many times on my way to the airport. It looks like it would be a good place to watch a game.

thanks for the info. Called blondie's today and they are requiring $100 pp to watch the game, hostess was kind enough to say...of course included in the price is all you can eat and drink!
That sounds a high to me...but then again I am not a vegas regular - is the food and venue worth it?

I'm not familiar with blondie's but i wouldn't pay that to see the game. I'd stay out of the sports books unless you want to bet. they'll be packed with limited audio. You might consider a local place: the Roadrunner bars have quite good food and drink at reasonable cost and usually have many tvs. PT's Gold are the best of the PT's group. The Crown & Anchor is a very fun British pub with many tvs, and some will be tuned to the game. The Freaking Frog by UNLV is a terrific beer bar with a ton of selections (although the food is weak). You might also check ot see if there is a FL alumni group in LV (almost certainly yes) and where they are watching the game....
