I want to cancel my wife's BA Amex, get a Blue and reapply so that they don't keep charging us £120.
We have recently got a 241 voucher on it - do you think the voucher will continue to be valid for its 12 month period?
thanks

I can't seem to find anything in there to the effect that your card must still be valid upon travel. I recently redeemed my first BA Amex 2for1 voucher and was asked for the card at check-in for the outbound flight. If you do decide to risk it, I therefore strongly recommend that you do not destroy the card but keep it safe and take it with you on your trip.

You don't need to reapply, do you? Once you've had the Blue for 6 months, ring Amex and they will take you down to £30 pa immmediately and (hopefully) give you a pro-rata refund on your existing year. Seems a lot easier than messing about cancelling and reapplying, albeit it will cost you 6 months of fee.
