I've thankfully been travelling less this year, but today wanted to book a liesure trip to Geneva.. Here's my experience on the Sas site:
- Site was down yesterday. (SSO error when loading any page) its back today..
- Eurobonus Points calculator not linked to anyware on new site, only findable via google (for posterity, I found it : Here (https://ibp2.scandinavian.net/ibp/eurobonus/EBCalculatorEarningPointsView.aspx?LNG=en)
)
- Nowhere on the european booking page does it seem show me actual booking class or EB amount for fare- i.e. there is a snowflake fare and an economy fare, but the "Detailed Rules" only tell me that it is non-refundable and how much a child would cost.
sweet.. I feel like booking on sterling out of annoyance--
Also, could somebody explain to me how to book a biz class flight on flysas.dk to a US destination that is not an SK gateway?
Am I a complete idiot, or does SK's site still suck this bad?

SSO error might be caused by yourself - if you do not log out, the session expires but cookies are still present. Clearing cookies solves the issue. I am not saying it is perfect error handing by the website though

I solve that issue by closing all open browser windows and then opening a new browser. It seems to have become much less common for me since they upgraded the site though.

You are absolutely correct, the SK website is of really bad quality. For some purposes such as booking domestic travel within Sweden it works quite good for me, but on average it is a disgrace that such a large company which depends heavily on Internet sales has such a crappy website. It could be worse though, have you ever tried using the US Airways website?

I agree with the other that it's a cookie problem, but I also agree with others that SAS should fix it. I never have this trouble with any other website where I don't logout.
I was frustrated for another booking issue when I tried to price a ticket from TLL-MNL. According to the Star Alliance site, there is a routing using SAS all the way to BKK, and then a code-share on TG to MNL. However, on the Estonian booking site, Philippines does not appear in the pulldown list (nor on some of their sites for other countries I tried) and you can't just type in an airport code.. so I ended up booking on LH using LH's site.

I did my first bookings on flysas.com to some frustration.
First up was a oneway KEF-ARN flight for which I found a great price (42 euros), typed in passenger details for 2 pax only to get a very annoying error about not being able to do paper tickets... and of course there was no mention on the previous pages about paper tickets! I really wanted to book this so I selected Finland from the local site options which still has the old interface and this worked fine! For some reason, they are indeed paper tickets and they wouldn't accept an NZ address so I had to send to my mum's place.
And I saved 20 euros by doing this as there was no service fees like on the main flysas site!
Then I wanted to buy oneway ARN-HEL tickets. I searched the main site first again and found a great fare of 32 euros. Then I checked the Finland site again and the same flight was quoted at 82 euros!!
Needles to say I booked this one on the main site! :D
The funny thing is that booked as a KEF-HEL oneway on the exact same flights is 154e + tax so it was half price doing them separately!
I do like the new search engine though and it even works fine with Firefox!

Dunno the program you are posting to, but beware that those fares will not earn you full mileage.
Maybe you donīt care, what do I know.
The difference in price is because of POS I would presume. They will zero out certain booking classes for some markets if they think they will be able to sell higher booking classes instead.

Thanks, I normally do care about miles but since airlines have started to devalue their mileage earnings, my loyalty to them has correspondingly skydived to almost zero. For this holiday trip to Iceland, we were going to fly whoever was cheapest and for the return it just happened to be SK (we are getting there on BA).
I guess POS pricing used to make sense when people didn't have any choice but the current internet booking environments sort of makes it redundant.
