(though, I usually time it so that I only pay for access 1 or 2 times during my stay) If I had to guess (and it would be a guess, since I would probably never stay at a non-casino property in Vegas) you might want to try a Courtyard or Hampton Inn. kingalien Jan 2, 07, 3:46 pm Not free, but cheaper, $9.95 @ Venetian. linsj Jan 2, 07, 4:05 pm Hilton Grand Vacations Renaissance AmeriSuites rhino_uk Jan 2, 07, 4:13 pm Apple Store in the fashion Show Mall. Also heard the the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf in Aladdin Desert Passage shops has free Wi-Fi, but I've never used it so can't vouch for it Sunnyhere Jan 2, 07, 4:40 pm It's free at McCarran Airport, just enter your email address. Also, there is some free HSIA in the Desert Passage mall at Aladdin, although I can't remember which coffee shop. opus17 Jan 3, 07, 12:54 am Not free, but cheaper, $9.95 @ Venetian. For several years, I never got charged at the Venetian, even though it said it cost $9.95 when you connected. Ever since I started to stay at the Venetiza, I do get charged (and the casino doesn't comp that, even though they comp everything else, except tips). kingalien Jan 3, 07, 6:25 am For several years, I never got charged at the Venetian, even though it said it cost $9.95 when you connected. Started about 8 months ago for me but I was in the original tower. krzysz Jan 3, 07, 6:52 am You can register at the Clark County Library, 833 North Las Vegas Boulevard for free and browse the net for one-two hours per day (subject to availability). The library is located North to Fremont Street Experience, about 15-min walk, across the Cashman Field Center Stadium. It's open till 9 P.M., but the neighbourhood is seedy. I didn't know about that back then, so I walked there by myself in the evening, but nothing happened. Actually, I was the only person walking in the area. Perhaps some local FTers may tell more about the place. :) AC110 Jan 3, 07, 6:59 am Don't know if there's a Fairmont in LV, but the last time I stayed at a Fairmont (Mt. Tremblant) I signed up for the President's Club online the previous day and got free hi-speed access on check-in. About $15 per day savings. kingalien Jan 3, 07, 7:02 am Don't know if there's a Fairmont in LV, but the last time I stayed at a Fairmont (Mt. Regardless, the librarians are very, very friendly and helpful (especially a woman that walks with a stick). ^ Also, they have a large stock of Vegas-related books. Btw, I didn't notice anything suspicious in the area, because it was completely dark and empty. There were quite a lot of homeless people in the library, though. So maybe the district is just "bad" because of the homeless, rather than gangs and such. Tokyorich Jan 3, 07, 7:00 pm Main Strett Station has free wi-fi in the players club (open to anyone) on the back wall. This area would be behind you if you were at the check in desk. I used it a few weeks ago. scott1212 Jan 3, 07, 9:10 pm High-speed wireless Internet is free at Skylofts. (The rooms are most definitely not free, though. :) ) King_of_Kurtopia Jan 3, 07, 9:48 pm Here's a good listing of free wifi in Las Vegas: http://tinyurl.com/yftvbt I just got back from 6 days in Vegas.
