Got a flyer in the mail for 2 Free Room Nights at the Tropicana for Feb. and March. In the small print is says "Complimentary rooms are offered as a courtesy based upon your expected level of play." "Your comp account will be charged a nominal room rate each night in the hotel." I don't mind gambling at the Tropicana (spent quite a bit of time there gambling the last time - Jan. 06 but didn't stay there) but I don't want to have to spend all my time there either just to get free rooms.

Can someone help me out? Is this a good deal or not? Has anyone else used this coupon? How much did you have to spend? Myself and some friends plan on a Vegas trip probably Friday 2/9/07 to Monday 2/12/07 and trying to save some $$$ (more money to gamble with).

Thanks.

Go Chiefs!!!

Considering that I got a flyer in the mail for $39 to $59 for the same dates.

One time a couple of buddies and myself were put in " Garden Level " rooms. The rooms were right out of a bad Miami Vice episode.

That was what I am afraid of. I will probably call them about it before doing anything. I thought I would try here first because who knows what the people at the Tropicana would tell me.

Thanks for the info.

Although I don't know if this promotion would truly mean that you'd get a "Garden Level" room, it may be a fine option depending on what you want. You said you are "trying to save some $$$" so does that mean you'd accept an old and quite average hotel room to do so? If so, it could be worth it. I stayed in a Garden Level room at Tropicana in 2004, and it wasn't terrible. Pretty big room, and had a balcony.
