HEY GUYS
nicknames token around 6 foot 2 and firstly im not a frequent flyer due to work , im only 18 but been flying heaps due to the fact first im an auzzie haha (location) and the fact that my med school is In Ireland.
After reading this forum quite alot especially the Singapore airlines section and the travelling reports - very impressive i might add , ive decidied to have a stab at my first report.
so lets begin.
I left Brisbane on the 29th Decemeber after celebrating xmas with the family and was departing on SQ 236 to Singapore.
Since i had left my booking of flight to only a week before i found out that good old raffles class (now business class) was full so decided to purchase an economy ticket and see if i could pay the upgrade for the whole flight from the singapore counter at brisbane.
Arriving at the airport i proceeded to check- in at the raffles counter where the blue carpet awaited me thanks to the fact im currently an elite gold member of KF , and was thankful of this seeing the line for economy.
When querying about seat availability in raffles, i was told the flight was full so i was going to get an economy boarding pass. When asking if i could pay the upgrade to raffles for the remaining sectors i was told that due to the nature of the booking , it wasnt a choice - REMIND ME TO QUERY THIS WITH MY AGENT AFTER TELLING HER TO MAKE SURE THIS DIDINT HAPPEN -
but to buy a seperate ticket. I didnt ask questions about this further since raffles was fully taken so sighed to fact of having my knees in the seat in front of me for the next seven and half hours.
After saying good bye to the family i proceeded to the immigration and security and breezed through the formailities and headed to the KF lounge.
the KF lounge in brisbane is nice and does the job since it mainly acts as a pre departure lounge. Snacks were above average with little hot food but very nice sandwiches. beverages included the usual softies and liquor including johnny walker black , jim beam , bunderburg rum and chilled wine on ice.
Time passed quickly and the KF lady came around once the main volume of passengers were on board and i was amongst the last few on board - by the way the lady who checked my boarding pass was a stunner - naturally being an auzzie :p
i was sitted in 36G an isle seat in the middle 3 seats on the right.
