Other Car Rental Programs/Partners (ie. Alamo, Enterprise, Sixt) - Alamo Navigation

I purchased a Navigation System last week and the darn thing didnt work worth a darn. Are most of these units crap?

I hope you get a response to this because I'm renting one in SAN in 3 weeks. I have a Garmin at home here but didn't want to cart it with me.

Do you know what kind it was?

Not sure if you got one of the new Garmin units they have or not. I got one this week and am loving it. It is much better in my opinion than the other units they had.

I have had a few that have not had the software updated on them so when you are driving on a road that is either (1) new or (2) moved the unit doesn't function well.

Maybe worth asking when the last time they updated the maps was...

We rented one with our Alamo car this week in SAN and it was perfect. No problems at all.
