This is a very good price.

I have one and it works great (even with a Linksys router that is old and which is not one of the ones explicity supported) and has let me extend my wifi network to a building 350' away from the router.

Compgeeks has a number of other very good sales going through 12/31 The Netgear wireless print server with a 4 port switch for $27.95 seems to be very good buy as well.

Keep in mind that this printer server will NOT work on pretty much any printer:

Both of mine are on the compatible list. Even if they end up not working with the print server, it has been going for twice this on eBay this month.

But the rule of Ebay is that prices only stay high till some random vendor puts the product on sale :)

Yup, Range Extender out of stock :(

There are a bunch on eBay but not at that price.

I bought one from brick and mortar Office Max last week for $109 (sometimes you do what you gotta do to get your internet back now); I will return it when the $39.95 one comes..

Does a range extender help with wifi service in hotels?

I've used these as range extenders and they are fantastic. It's even possible to daisy-chain them so that the wireless router can be located in a remote location and service delivered to the other end of the coverage area without having to move the router. They're especially useful in the face of a painful wiring/re-wiring job to centrally locate the router. :)

I like your postscripts...I knew Kip a little bit in college...He reminds me a little of Greg Marmalard in Animal House.

I just had to share. Got the Print Server today. And despite the instructions being written in Martian, I got it working and it is a delight.

It's there again at http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=WRE54G - now at 46,99 but only a 1,99 for shipping (at checkout enter code ship4less - thus pretty much the same, all in all.
