Picking up one of these tomorrow. Does anyone here have experience with this product? Having to go this route because my windows xp tablet does not work with Palm desktop software.

Tremendous device. Had one since it came out and can highlight the following features:

- Phone will start ringing but the screen will not light up and the call will not be answerable
- Locking the screen/device doesn't lock all the keys (a special exception is the dial key, which hit twice in a pocket will call your last caller)
- Battery will decide to completely discharge within an 8 hour period (random, no real warning)
- Reception generally sucks

I don't do any weird third-party apps which cause it to be unstable...it just inherently is.

Enjoy!

I guess I've had a somewhat different experience. Yes, battery life can be erratic, but I found that to be the case when using a web connection for two or three hours straight or using an app that frequently pings for information (e.g., a messaging/e-mail client).

I got the 700wx because I wanted to enjoy multimedia/streaming on the go, and it hasn't let me down. The combination of Sprint EVDO and the ability to install a variety of WM5-friendly players for WMA/Flash/MP3 streams makes nearly every other phone an anemic pretender in this arena.

Totally agree the multimedia functions rock. I just think they concentrated a little too hard on that and forgot things like phone and email.

I use the built-in Outlook for mail pushed from Exchange via Activesync.

If you want a phone/email combo, go blackberry. Otherwise the 700 is a nice toy.

My week old 700W treo is quite the excitement, now only if I knew how to use the darn thing. I look forward in keeping this for at least a year, as I have gone through 3 seperate phones in the past 9 months.

yeah, I cannot parallel the problems on this device, as an avid WM user, it has worked just fine. The speed and connectivity cannot be beat in a portabel device, I get 800 kps regularly on my device. The ability to tether the device to a laptop makes it a great solution for a mobile user. Get the windows LIVE mobile software beta, it is FREE and a great resource.

For the 22.50 I pay a month for 600 minutes, and unlimited EVDO, I cannot be beat.
