I'm a lifelong Mac user some I'm a bit slow, eh?

Maybe someone can help me with what I'm sure is an obvious problem.

Using ActiveSync to make some changes on my windows-mobiles device (creating shortcuts, etc), I often see instructions like this:

1. Connect USB to (device) via Active Sync.
2. Explore to mobile device (click Explore in active sync from PC)
3. Browse to Windows directory

However, I can't ever see the Windows directory on the desktop of my PC-- I see all sorts of other stuff through "explore" feature-- but not Windows directory (or anything that even begins with "Windows"

Is there some thing really, really obvious I'm missing? Thanks a million.

On a Windows PC, try this:
Press the Start button (lower left corner), select Run, enter "explorer" and hit return.
That should give you a two-paned display of all your drives and directories.
In the left pane, select My Computer, then select the C: drive.
In the right pane you should see a list of all the directories in C:.
One of them should be called WINDOWS.
If not, it may be hidden, select Tools|FolderOptions|View.
Under Hidden Files and Folders select Show Hidden Files and Folders.

Worked :-:perfectly:-:-- can't thank you enough-- I've been too embarrassed to ask and it's been very frustrating!

THANKS! -jon

Aren't the instructions in the OP telling the user to go to the Windows directory on the mobile device?
