I like to use my wired cell headset on my computer for Skype.

I had a 6" y-adapter that I bought from Radio Shack (part number 2103853) that takes the 2.5mm male plug from the headset and converts it to dual 3.5mm male plugs that computers need (separate mic and headset).

Radio Shack stopped making the adapter and I can't find another source.

Anyone know of a source?

You could probably use an airline one-two plug adapter: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?parentPage=family&summary=summary&allCount=325&cp=2032058.2032231.2032280&productId=2103860&accessories=accessories&techSpecs=techSpecs&currentTab=features&fbn=Cable+type%2FAudio+adapters&custRatings=custRatings&f=PAD%2FCable+Type%2FAudio+adapters&features=features&fbc=1&support=support&tab=summary

If that won't work, it would be pretty easy to build your own if you have some basic soldering skills. Just pick up a female stereo jack and two mono plugs of the right size. Radioshack will probably have them. The tip of the stereo plug is probably either the mic or earpiece. The center band will probably be the other. The back will probably be ground.
