Thrifty - American Airline points?

Hi,

Can one get AA miles on Thrifty hires - I read that one can on AA.com - but not sure how if I can get them - do I need on of Thrify's cards?

I hired a car last week and another this week, so could do with the points if they are available.

Go to thrifty.com, select Express/Rewoard and set up a Blue Chip account number. Once you have an account number (or if you already have one), go to "Customer Care" and fill out the form. One of the questions is a drop-down box where you select a loyalty program to earn miles/points on. Select American Airlines and enter your AAdvantage number.

seems that according to Thrifty we can't earn AA miles - only Qantas - sorry should have mentioned that it is in Oz.
