Does KLM operate upgrade/award waitlisting?
With (for example) clearance based on status while yield management frees up upgrade/award inventory according to some internal formula?
This is perhaps less relevant to PE's who can claim awards from C inventory but it is still possible to go from C0 to CX close to departure. Without waitlisting it then becomes pot luck if you happen to call at the right time whereas with waitlisting the longer in advance you try to book the better your chances.
