Other Car Rental Programs/Partners (ie. Alamo, Enterprise, Sixt) - Renting From Enterprise - GPS Tracking?

I will be renting a car from Enterprise here in South Central Florida this coming week.
Does anyone know if Enterprise has GPS tracking devices installed in their fleet?
Thank you.

Anyone have any experience with renting from Enterprise within Florida, then driving outside of Florida? This appears on my website reservation confirmation:
UNLIMTED MILEAGE IN FLORIDA AND SURROUNDING STATES (GA, MS, AL, AND SC ONLY). IF TRAVELING OUTSIDE OF THESE STATES, MILEAGE IS CHARGED AT 150 FREE MILES PER DAY, 1050 FREE MILES PER WEEK, AND 2500 FREE MILES PER MONTH. ADDITIONAL MILES ARE $0.25 EACH.
I am renting for 1 week and plan to drive anywhere from a total of 1500-2400 miles including some of the states bordering the ones listed above. I called Enterprise Reservations and was told "as long as you are not driving to NY it won't be a problem" and "no there is no GPS tracking device installed in our cars". But, that is just word -of-mouth. IF I don't see anything about tracking devices in the agreement, where can I look on the car to confirm whether there is a tracking device or not?
Anyone have any experience with this?

Welcome to FlyerTalk! To my knowledge, Enterprise does not use GPS tracking. But if you travel outside of those states, just hope you don't get a flat tire or break down.... they WILL nail you for those miles in a hurry.

There have been several lawsuits and settlements about using GPS or other tracking to charge car renters for going outside purported limits. So far as I know, the rental companies have lost everyone (invasion of privacy, unlawful penalty charges were some of the claims)
Of course that doesn't guarantee you a trouble free experience with Enterprize. Any reason not to rent from someone else who doesn't claim to use the geographic limits?

Most strongly doubt that they have a GPS tracking device....
However, don't get cought with anything (break-down, unpaid parking ticket, or what ever) because from my experience they will LOVE to charge the miles then......
I just wouldn't give it a chance and rent from someone who doesn't charge miles no matter where you go

I just rented one from PBI and they had GPS but the maps weren't exactly up to date...they listed me as off the road when I was driving on the FL turnpike.

Just want to point out that all of Enterprise's GPS system are less than a year old and are install with the most current maps by Garmin. Regardless of who you rent or buy a GPS system from, they all carry the most recent and up to date map out there. HOWEVER, with new constructions and new streets opening up, the maps on GPS system may not reflect that change until the manufacture send out a new set of maps to be uploaded into the GPS navagation device. This is true with almost every GPS system out there. Even the maps in my 2005 Prius that I bought brand new was outdated within 3 months with new onramps opening up and old one closing. It would be awesome if they (they being the manufactures of the GPS devices) create a self updating GPS system.

How do you propose they do this? It doesn't get much easier than getting an update CD/DVD and loading it to the device.
My only complaint is that map software is expensive. Garmin's City Navigator North America software is $140 list.
