Hi all,

I'm new here and hope this is the right place to post this question. I recently found a cheap flight with a layover in Moscow, Russia and it just occured to me that they have VISA requirements.. however, I'm under the impression that as long as I stay in the transfer area for my 3.25 hour layover I should be fine. Can anyone confirm? Can't seem to find a definitive source online.

Also, has anyone been to the SVO airport? Are there multilingual (including English) signs everywhere? I only speak English & spanish and want to make sure I can find the right departure gate in the alotted time. I can't seem to find an airport map online anywhere either.

First of all, welcome to flyertalk.

Moscow is in Eastern Europe so I think you can get quicker response in that forum.

Perhaps this will help you get your visa but does not actually answer the question.

OK, thanks. I guess I figured that others might have had this issue when their final destination was in "Other Asia."

Looks like many have answered my question here:

Many airlines provide access to the Timatic system (info on visa and vaccination requirements for airline passengers) thru their web sites, e.g. Delta:
