I don't think I can do this, but am hoping somebody tells me otherwise. I am wanting to rent a car for 6 days, including a weekend. I have two weekend day certs, 1 free rental day, & 1500 points (enough for 3 days).
Is it possible to get my rental for free by combing my points & certs?

Are you staying in one city with the rental? (e.g., Near the renting location, making car swaps possible?) If so, then you should be able to cover all six days for free with those points/certs.
The problem is that I don't know if there's a way to avoid doing the car swaps - if the plan is to rent the car and take some sort of roadtrip, you're probably out of luck. The different codes have to be booked on different reservations, and other than my nearby HLE where they know me, the Hertz "party line" is that you have to bring back the car to process each reservation.
Make sure you query weekly rates with any number of the very good weekly discount codes that are out there right now. (All of the major agencies are running very cheap deals right now - not just Hertz.) You might find an attractive rate that makes it worthwhile to hang out to your certs.

This is for a road trip. I figured I was out of luck. I may just drive my own car & save up for the next road trip.

Well, FWIW, check your HLEs for the weekly rental - Hertz probably has a couple of them in Wichita. With either the 50% off promo or the flat $35 off promo (stackable with almost any CDP), you might get the car so cheap it's worth keeping the miles off of yours.
We're going to Minnesota for Christmas for a week in a Hertz car. Picking up in Overland Park - it'll be about $128 all in. That was full-size booked...a few bucks less if you just need a Corolla.
