As I am ending up flying to Stockholm a lot next year I am going to change from AAdvantage (platinum) to CO, because they fly there.
My questions is - NWA has the best club pass with the most access, but only get 50% eqm on CO -
Can you have all miles on skyteam go to CO, but purchase a club pass on NWA? It seems like there are no restricitons on access?
Anyone else doing this?

Try Priority Pass. They have contract with every single CO, NWA, Delta club, plus a bunch of international locations. The only drawback is that you can't bring guests for free ($ 35 each).

Just get a pres club membership. That will enable you to get into NWA clubs.

The answer to the original question (can you buy a NW WC membership while crediting all Skyteam flights to CO?) is yes. Of course, if you are elite on CO you are unlikely to get any discount on NW's club, so you'd be paying the general member rate, but you certainly can do it. Better access to European partner locations is a perfectly valid reason to do this - if you travel to ARN a lot then this may well be worth it for you.
Amex Plat will probably not work: the NW lounge at ARN is not a Worldclub, it's a contract lounge, so it's unlikely that Amex will get you access. Plus even if it was, you would be flying CO, and Amex Plat only gets you access to the club of the airline you are flying that day. Check very hard before choosing that option if ARN is a major destination.
Priority Pass would probably work better if you can verify that there is an appropriate lounge at ARN. Almost all CO and NW locations belong; there are a few DL exceptions (eg several clubs at ATL). Priority Pass is comparable to the general member rates for joining WC/PC - the only reason I have a PC membership rather than a WC membership or a PP membership is that as a CO elite, that's the cheapest option. But if I flew to ARN a lot, the calculation would swing in favor of NW or PP.
Diners Club also gives you admission to the Novia Executive Lounge
in Stockholm. It's in Terminal 5 between Pier A and B.
But I think Amex Platinum would be your best bet.

As always - when you post here you get some really good feedback! I will purchase the NWA pass - the advantage is that when my wife flies with me she gets in too -
Thanks again!
