Hertz - Hertz in Nicaragua

Hi

just wondering if anybody's rented with Hertz in Nicaragua? I'm headed there in a few days and have reserved a car with them. Anything unexpected I should expect?? Thanks.

I'd assume it's the same as renting in Mexico...

Be ABSOLUTELY sure you look for EVERYTHING before signing the papers. They may try to nit pick on every little scratch.

Hi

well, back from beautiful Nicaragua. Hertz was great. On the advice of several, I went carefully over the vehicle (a nice, new Mazda B2900 diesel pickup) with the nice Hertz fellow and, together, we noted every scratch and small dent. They noted it down and off I went.

The Managua airport is superb by all "developing" country standards...a breeze really. The rental of the car and the entire experience was absolutely wonderful.

I highly recommend looking into Nicaragua as a cool, vacation by the way.
