i booked a r/t from ord-dtw
theres about a 3 hr wait time in between flights.
if i see a flight in the airport that leaves earlier back to ord can i jump on it? will i still be eligible for the promo since its basically a standby on an earlier flight?

It's actually a fly 3 and get 25,000 miles.

Yes, you will still be eligible for the promotion as long as you are on United Metal and return to the city of origin.
