i was just quoted 780 hk (96$ us)dollars for a limo to pick us up at the airport to take us to the conrad hilton...is that within reason...or a total rip off?

that was a typo..it was 750 hk dollars

That's very high, but you expect to pay that if using a hotel car. Regular Taxi would be cheaper, and the train cheaper yet. 90HKD one way and very easy to use. You would need to take a taxi from the train station to the Conrad, but it shouldn't be more than $20USD.

That's about the going rate for hotel limos. A taxi from the airport to the hotel would be about HK$350 (depending a little on traffic, and how many bags you put in the trunk - each one is HK$5).

The Airport Express train to Hong Kong station (24 minute journey) is HK$100 one way (HK$180 one-month valid return) then you can get either the free shuttle bus which runs to the Conrad about every 20 minutes, or a taxi from HK station to the Conrad which shouldn't be more then HK$25 (again plus HK$5 per bag).

Timewise they are all about the same (except the shuttle bus being a bit longer if you just miss one).
