In the past, whenever I have flown F class, originating with AA in the U.S., then connecting to CX at one of their North American destinations, I have re-checked in with CX and the agent has always:
1) reprinted my shoddy-looking AA issued boarding passes on fancy-looking CX F class card stock; and
2) asked for my AA-issued baggage claim check and noted the numbers so that my bags could be I.D. by ground-handlers and tagged with F class bag tags.
Most recently, however, when I re-checked in in Vancouver, the agent merely looked at my AA boarding passes, said I was already checked in and just gave me the lounge passes for YVR and HKG.
As a result, my bags (which were tagged by AA with their orange premium label and a "oneworld" attachment  ), came out mixed in with the economy class luggage (all the rest of the first and business class luggage appeared to arrive in order). Also, since I had an AA boarding pass, each time I attempted to head for the first class or business class boarding lane, I was intercepted by someone who had to take a close look at the boarding pass to confirm I was elegible.
All-in-all, not that big a deal... had to wait an extra few minutes for my bags, and didn't feel as "special" waving my cheapo, crappy-looking AA-issued boarding pass at ground staffs in YVR and HKG. :(
Just wondering, has CX changed interline ground handling procedures or did my agent just forget what to do?
