Thai Airways Royal Orchid Plus - Long Haul Flights: TG First Class or SQ Business?
Calling on all of you experienced Asia travellers.
Singapore Airlines won't book me in F on my onward journey from SIN to SYD. I am confirmed SQ F on the SYD-SIN but they want to put me in C on the onward leg.
My alternate possibilty is SQ F to BKK and then TG F from BKK to SYD.
Which one you think is better between these two long haul services? SQ C or TG F?
Time is not important as I've got plenty. I need your advice on this. I have not yet been to the new BKK airport and have not flown Thai F in a long time.
Thank you very much in advance for your comments and advice. :)

concur!
I have another questin: can passengers holding a transcon F boarding pass get access to the Royal Orchid Spa? :)
Have any of you tried the Spa? Is it more or less the same as the Molton Brown spa they used to have in the British Airways Concorde Lounge at Heathrow?

It's amazing to see how far TG has come in catching up to SQ-level of service and products. Well that and its pricing point too. :D

Greetings! I am waiting in NRT for my SQ flight to the US. Although Thai used an older version of their 747 from BKK to NRT, I still found the seat to be quite comfortable and the service extremely good. I also flew SFQ in First last week. The services is also quite good; however, Thai beats in delivering genuinely warm service. If you can do First on either Thai or Singapore, I think you will be happy. However, Business on SQ does not compare to First on Thai. I hope this helps a little.

I have to agree with the others here. I only have one TG F experience (HKG-BKK), but it was a wonderful experience. The food was excellent and the service was very warm and friendly.
I've done a few flights in SQ C and there just isn't a comparison.

Several TG F experiences, and I have never, never , never been disappointed... so far! I hope my next February F TG will be as usual; Edenic journeys

The Molton Brown spa at Heathrow was never in the Concorde Room. It still exists, and it remains in the BA lounge pavillion in terminal 4, one floor down from the CR, and with a separate entrance to any lounge. There is also a Molton Brown spa in the BA lounge complex at Heathrow T1, although there is no CR there.
