Well here I go again hoping this time my report will be more detailed.
Arrived KWI from RUH on SV F flight only 55 minutes but a full hot lunch was served. It was either beef or chicken chose chicken. It was very good.
Arrived KWI at 17.10 but UA check in does not open till 21.00 so went down town with a dear friend and went shopping, and a nice dinner. Kuwait city is very nice but traffic even on Friday is a nightmare.
At 22.00 I checked in. The lines were very short but the delay at security check before you get to the desk is long and really boring think they are still learning the procedures so I was calm and friendly but at times I felt that the guy questioning me has no idea of really what he was doing. Anyway he was polite which is soothing and his supervisor came to his aid after a while and things went much better after that. Check in was fast and efficient took no more than 3 minutes and I was on my way to immigration. Immigration in KWI has a premium line so whizzed through in seconds security was also fast and next stop was the Dasman Hall or the First class lounge at KWI.
Great place a lot of cold and hot food, only soft drinks and free internet.
KWI airport is really not that big all in all there are 25 gates our flight was from gate 5 that night. Went to the gate at around 23.30 to face a long line stretched all the way to gate 3. Lines were moving so slow that I managed to smoke twice in the smoking room and rejoin the lines with the permission of the nice guy behind me. After about 25 minutes it was my turn at the third security for this flight all my liquids were in the proper Ziploc so no problems there no shoe festival either.
On to the 777-200ER and the nicest surprise of the day. About the same crew I flew in with two weeks ago were also on this flight. I know that a lot of you complain about service on UA but this crew is really the best I ever flew with and I have flown with the big names,SQ,CX,BA,AF,LH etc...
Took my seat 1A, fresh pillows and blanket, a very clean plane, working seat, below average amenity kit, all was there waiting for me for my 14 hours trip.
Menu for this flight:

As I did have a great dinner before my flight I passed the first part of my menu. Channel 9 was on
So I followed our progress from the start. A delay of 20 minutes due to a catering mix up and we left at 01.00. Very smooth take off .Two glasses of not really great wine a Xanax and next thing I remember is flying in the middle of the Atlantic.
Sandwiches were fresh and very tasty a diet Pepsi then more sleeping. Around 5am it was time for breakfast, scrambled eggs was yummy a cup of tea and just in time to change for an early arrival to IAD.
Immigration and customs were painless. Thirty minutes later I was in my car on my way home.
Few remarks:
F/A on both flight did a great job. ^
No PJ in F on UA :td:
Amenity kit not up to par
Wine list is really not that great
Otherwise it was a great trip. Again thanks to all the crew on both flights, job well done.
