can someone help me figure out how to call in Europe Platinum Concierge using the toll free number?

The number that is listed in the SPG.com website for most countries in Europe is ++800-325-75757. I am in Germany right now. How do I dial this number with the ++?

I have had to dial the +1888 number to the US and get billed the long distance charges.

Many thanks in advance.

This ++800 service is called universal international freephone. (WOW!)

simply dial:

00800 325 75757

as far as I remember it works only from fixed lines and not from mobiles.

Isn't it pretty normal that US hotels charge you extra money when calling 0800 numbers? I believed we i Europe apopted it from the US?

That is OK with me, but the reservation lines as well as Platinum Concierge are often excluded.

Thanks for the response.. I tried to dial using my mobile phone here in germany and could not get through.. Now I know why.. I must use the landline phone and not mobile...

Since I do not have landline phone here in germany, I guess I will have to call the + 1888 number to the US and pay the long distance charge.

You can use every public phone - if you are able to find one :D

My mobile phone dials from my address book, and I have the "++" programmed prior to the Platinum number (which is answered in Ireland). No problems from my mobile or land line, and the service has been fine.
