I am a little confused. I am eager to try Jet Blue after hearing a co-worker rave about the price and the aircraft (TV's for the Kids), but have yet to see any good, or even moderate, fares out of BUF. Do they ever post $49-$59 fares BUF-MCO?
Thanks

Jetblue will run sales on occasion where fare will be close to that. Usually the $49-59 are regular fares between JFK and BUF and other cities about the same distance. Normal fares between JFK/LGA/EWR-MCO/FLL are usually $99 each way. Sales on the same routes run between $49-79 each way, depending on the sale and time it's offered. BUF to the florida cities usually run $10 to $50 more than the NYC fares, depending on demand.

As luck would have it, JetBlue currently has a sale for the rest of today, with fares as low as $59, for both adult and child BUF-MCO.
All of the flights will connect via JFK, and the fares are good through the middle of February.

Sounds great... Maybe I am looking too far out though...
Apr 13-22/23? When should I expect those dates to hit the sales rack? I know WN just released out to May 10th or so... and some of those are $59.00.
Cheers,
Steve

Steve,
JetBlue is currently selling tickets through 04/30/2007. However, they do not necessarily have fares that low on every flight.
The sale that is taking place this week, was announced by JetBlue 3 days ago. Every few weeks, they will have a sale that will last for 2-3 days with fares as I mentioned in the earlier post.
You may want to visit their website, and signup for email notification from them. This is how they announce fare sales.

Well jetBlue's fares are good overall but sometimes not the lowest in a metro area market to another market.
Recently I bought jetBlue over United who had a cheaper fare; ~$51 less. Why? Not flight time or normal reasons. jetBlue offers value for my money in the whole process. They also employ Americans to answer the telephones which is nice as jetBlue is an American carrier.
I wrote an email about how on the jetBlue website Jack Daniels is listed as a bourbon not a whiskey. Well mainly whiskeys are bourbons or something (does not really matter) but a) I received a reply and b) the reply was tailor to me explaining whiskey and bourbon; not a simple "Thanks. We will forward this to a correct department (call we could give a flying fig)."
jetBlue is what Indy Air was and more. I feel I get value for my money and I feel good coming off the plane; not like exiting a robbery/rape that other airlines offer at a lower cost.

It may also be important to note that on High Capacity Holidays, such as Christmas, Presidents week and Easter/Passover (Spring Break) fares are just higher because of the density of passengers being carried. I do believe that Apr 13 is at the tail end of Spring Break so that may be a reason why the fares are higher. Also as others have noted, jetBlue does have lots of countdown sales, more recently than I ever remember, but it is best to book during that period for the lowest fare.
Other times all of the sale priced seats have been booked as does happen. Not all 156 seats are being offered at $49, only a segment is being offered at that sale price, after all the seats are sold the next lowest fare becomes available until a few people get stuck with the highest possible fare. So take that into consideration too. Hope this was helpful.
