I called Starwoods and asked to transfer 20000 points to my USAir account. I kept getting an error on the website so couldn't go that route. The woman I spoke with said the transfer would take place 'in a while' but she could not tell me how long before I saw the activity in my accounts. That was a week ago and the points have not been deducted from my Starwoods account yet. I expected it would take several weeks to post to my USAir account so does the deduction from SPG not take place until that time also?

this would be better posted in http://flyertalk.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=429 the spg forum. someone will probably know the usual time it takes for US transfers.

I transferred SPG points to US Air a few months ago and it took 10 or 11 days. It finally posted to US on a Sunday.

If the Starpoints have not been deducted from your account, then no transfer was made. You might want to call the Customer Contact Center back and ask them to look into it.

If the Starpoints have not been deducted from your account, then no transfer was made.
