Air New Zealand Air Points - NZ 23, 767. Old machine?

I am travelling on NZ 23 from LAX via PPT to RAR. It seems like the plane is quite old. No individual screens etc. On Air New Zealand homepage they say, that some planes are being refitted and modernized. When I will be travelling (late february), is there any hope, that it will be one a modernized plane?

No chance. NZ is even dropping LAX-PPT-RAR from early April 2007.

Great that we made the trip just in time!! A few months later, and we would not have been able to go to RAR..

Not quite :). They're dropping LAX-PPT-RAR-AKL in favor of LAX-RAR-AKL and PPT-AKL, so you still would have been able to do the LAX-RAR sector directly.
