Hertz - Calling for a cert on the day of reservation

If I wanted to pick up a car on short notice, say today, can I call the Gold # from the Hertz Location and ask for a cert? Can they do an "instant" cert kind of thing and notify the location?

It is possible. Just call reservations and tell them you need a car with points. I did exactly that on Saturday when I needed to rent a car for a week. I called them and told them I wanted to use points and they added to my contract a PC that is good for a free week, then my points balance went down by 2500 points.

My rental was mostly business so I was even able to get my LDW benefits on an award rental.
