How long does it take the AsiaMiles desk to check on an award? I submitted a request now almost three weeks ago, got a response from the AsiaMiles desk a week later, but haven't heard back anything since if they had availability or not. Looking to redeem miles on GF for a trip in january, need to find out soon to know if I need to buy a ticket or not.

Call them - they will let you know while you are on the phone. If calling at peek times though, be prepared for a decent wait for a Customer Service person.
Try in the morning and late afternoon - best times to get through without delay.
If you call you may be listening to "I can fly" for hours unless if you are calling early morning or past midnight then it is normally less than 15 mins. Even as a Diamond calling the MPO hotline there was always a 5-10 min wait.
Did you submit an online request? In my experience it takes at least a week for them to reply, but definitely 3 weeks is abnormal. I would resubmit. AM also takes 2 weeks at least to reply to your emails btw, so don't bother.
I do still recommend that people call however, since award avalibility is generally limited and by the time they get to your online request it may be gone.
