Seatguru lists 42HJK as an exit row on a CX 773. http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Cathay_Pacific_Airways/Cathay_Pacific_Airways_Boeing_777-300.php

The FAQ for this forum lists 42H as having extra legroom. http://www.cathaytalk.com/showthread.php?t=731

Today, a counter agent said 41HJK was the left-side exit row and that 42H did not have any extra legroom. After much button pushing, she put is in 55DE, saying those were the best available Y seats, with some extra legroom.

In the 1.5 hours before we fly, I wonder if anyone knows whether the check-in agent is right or seatguru or the FAQ?

41 ABC HJK is the exit rows.

55 is a bulkhead row.

42 does not have any extra legroom (as far as I can see).

The seatguru seat map is plain WRONG. This is a problem with A LOT of seat maps on Seatguru, Seatexpert etc. The only seat maps that are accurate are the ones on CX's website.

Some information on CXtalk's FAQ - seating appear to be inaccurate.

I would regard the CX website as a better authority than either of the two you list. It shows here: http://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/aircraft_type/imageFolder/ff777_300_773.gif that 41 is the exit row.

55 is also bulkhead, which means it will have "knee room" but I can't recall how far away the bulkhead is, so not sure about legroom.

The CX web site would seem authoritative.

I'm not usually a big fan of bulkheads (or Y for that matter), but it's only a 2.5 hour flight. I suppose knee room is better than nothing.

The lounge at TPE is better than I expected, with a noodle bar.

CX was nice enough to op-up us to J at the gate (the joys of oneworld sapphire and a full Y cabin), so I can't report on the legroom in row 55.
