MilesBuzz! - Hilton and Starwood can learn a thing or two from Marriott

I just wanted to say that Marriott's new system (I don't know how new it is exactly ...) for checking hotel availability rocks. Type in the city and dates on the front page of their site and it shows you all the hotels across all brands with available prices for your dates ... doesn't get any easier than that. This is what Starwood and Hilton need. Orbitz comes close (you can search by all Starwood and Hilton brands), but they sometimes don't have some of the discount rates that are available on the Starwood and Hilton websites.

Don't forget to type in M11 in the promo code and see if any Marriott rewards member rates come up.

I found the Renaissance in Austin for $75/night over Easter weekend when I tried this.
