Cathay Pacific Asia Miles - Discount on J on CX LAX-BOM-LAX?

CX's web site quotes me about $7.7k to fly LAX-BOM-LAX in J.

I normally fly in restricted Economy all the time however I was upgraded twice in the past 3 months to J and now that I've had a taste, I can't help but wonder if just like the price difference between Economy-Y and Economy-K/M (full fare runs about $5k, K/M run about $1.7k), if there are extremely restricted business fares or discount fares available via agents/consolidators?

Or better still, buy coach and maybe exchange points with a Flyertalker for asiamiles points to get an upgrade.

Great idea. I've got almost 300,000 miles in my BA Exec Club account. Of course whenever I try to book on CX, there are never any seats avail. Maybe if I could move some of them to my MPC/AsiaMiles, I'd have better luck.
