Hello All,

Within the next couple of weeks, I'll have around 200k miles on Alaska and would like to use those miles for two Business Class seats from "anywhere" in North America (I'll fly myself to either YYZ, SFO, or LAX) to SYD with a ten day stopover in HKG on the way back (basically fly to HKG, switch planes to SYD, stay in SYD for a few days, then back to HKG for ten days). Didn't know if anyone has had any luck with something like this in the past.

Thanks,
Brian

Uh.. yah?

Depends on when you're going... CX award seats are hard to come by during peak seasons.

Define "peak". Late March/early April?

Best Book early! There seems to be a natural priority list for all airlines and their FF members:

1. Look after your own first.
2. Look after your alliance partners.
3. Look after your other partners.

I guess you must have meant YVR not YYZ, otherwise quite a trek. A friend of mine recently redeemed YVR-HKG-AKL return so similar to yours but did it in economy and not business. He was allowed a stopover in 1 direction only. Best to check the one way mileages.

Definitely 'do-able' but availability could be an issue, both YVR-HKG and SYD-HKG can get very chocka!

Hope you enjoy your trip to two of the greatest cities on the planet!
