I'm about to sign up for a BAA World Points card, from looking through the old posts I see that there have been lots of 500 point refer a friend bonus offers.

If there's one on at the moment, PM me and I'll be happy to be referred (I get 500 too right??!)

There's currently a 250 point referal bonus, but I think that's only for the recommender. Not sure if that would mean you loose out on the usual 100 joining bonus or not though.

If you don't plan to use your card immediatly, it might be worth waiting until you know a 500 referal promotion is on, but that said, YMMV as may those of others. I know these promotions are often targetted.

If you know someone who travels as much as you do, recommend them to WorldPoints and you'll receive 250 WorldPoints when they use their card for the first time.

Terms and Conditions
1. Please ensure your friend is aware that you are recommending them and that they will receive a WorldPoints card.
2. No cash alternative will be offered.
3. 250 WorldPoints will be credited to your account when your nominated friend uses their WorldPoints card for the first time.

Does anyone know if there are any 500 point join bonuses or something similar on at the moment?

Another few questions - do existing members get referral vouchers on their statements routinely (might know someone who gets these) and also how often to Worldpoints post out statements?

Cheers badgerdirect, was hoping for one of those 500 pointers for both parties.

Do you happen to know how often the statements get sent out (quarterly etc) and if it is the same for all members or if members get their statements at different times

Statements get sent out all at once. They are personalised based on the preferences you select when you join, based on airports you use and what you say you buy.

I did read something the other day that I think said 500 points for joining. I'll see if I can find the details.

There is a promo that expires at the end of October 2007. It was mentioned in the BAA Worldpoints Autumn 2007 Statement.

I could refer you, but I don't think it gets you anything extra (just me, so PM me if you're feeling generous :) )

I'm not aware of any particularly generous offers at the moment.

As this thread is about a sign up bonus for World Points, I'd like to add there is a possible 100 airmiles bonus if you enter code 476 and spend £40 on a single day before March 2011.
