Hi, i am new to the Air NZ forum so was hoping someone could give me a answer to a query i have. My sister is travelling Air New Zealand at the end of the year. She is flying economy but i was wandering whether there might be a was of getting a lounge pass for her to start her flight off in style. On air canada you can use a maple leaf lounge pass and as long as you have an aircanada ticket, it doesnt matter what class you fly, is this the same for Air NZ? thanks!

I think you can buy lounge access for the Servisair lounge at T3 for about GBP18. e.g. from http://www.simplylounges.co.uk. I don't think AirNZ supply lounge access to economy travellers any other way.

An economy passenger on Air NZ would only have access to the lounge if they have airline club membership, or star alliance gold status, or entering as a guest of someone who has club membership or star alliance gold status (and travelling same day), or Air NZ Airpoints silver status member using their annual one-time lounge pass.
In LHR Air NZ default lounge is UA Red Carpet Club (RCC), but other lounges available are AC/SK London Lounge and SQ Silver Kris Lounge.
IIRC UA & AC allow purchase of a day pass for lounge use - not sure if these require flight on own metal or not. Of the lounges UA RCC is the worst.
