None. I think all of LHR T3 airside is now non-smoking (but not sure of this).

LHR lounge hours are now 7:30 am until after the last flight (typically 10 pm, but lounge is kept open for delays). The extended lounge hours are due to the 4th CX daily (morning) flight -- and all the flights are full most of the time!

I accessed the the first class side of this lounge this past weekend. It was dead quiet at 8:00am. The staff were very friendly, the food and beverage selection was more than adequate. The wontons weren't that great but the dim sum were quite tasty. Quite a pleasant experience, especially compared to the zoo at the FlAAgship Lounge.

In the interests of public information: CX lounge def. non-smoking, AA Flagship Lounge has a smoking area. Otherwise it's the public smoking area - which if you feel the urge is better than none at all.

CX lounge def. non-smoking

And I am thankful for it. I understand that people have the right to smoke, but likewise, I have the right not to. Since I cannot physically not breath in the air whereever I'm in unfortunately smokers will just have to not smoke or do so in an enclosed room if so provided.

Is there any CX lounge in the system that allows smoking (seperate smoking rooms ie. hkg nonwithstanding?

I for one visited the FRA (domestic) Senator Lounge recently and it reeked of smoke in EVERY corner and I was forced to retreat after 10 seconds or so. It was single handedly the worst lounge I had ever been to in my life and the smoke was the reason.

At risk of hijacking this thread on the smoking debate, I'm with you on the point that non-smokers should have every right not to breath in smoke, just as smokers should be given a separate area in which to feed their addiction.

As observed by both you and christep there is indeed a smoking room (-cum bar) at The Wing in HKG (with non-smokers able to choose from other bars in the lounge, should they prefer it). Sadly this facility doesn't appear to be offered at any out-station, though I guess that's down to optimising available space.

Of the OW airlines which do understand that smokers need a (albeit segragated) space to puff:

American Airlines (ironic, considering the US was the first country in the world to introduce sweeping bans)
British Airways (all LHR lounges and very selectively at out-stations)
Iberia (though the enclosure of smoking rooms hasn't quite been grasped, so accept this must be unpleasant for people who don't)
Finnair
LAN (though the recent ban in SCL seems to have taken it by surprise and so a hasty bit of lounge re-modelling going on)

Less consistency across *A carriers...
