I can't even get a straight answer from three different UA csr's and I'm flying on their airline. Will someone please tell me how many hours in the air each of my trip segments is, figuring in the time zone changes and assuming everything is on time.
segment one: leave ORD day 1, 12:43 pm --- arrive NRT day 2, 5 pm
segment two: leave NRT day 2, 6:35 pm -- arrive BKK day 2, 11:40 pm
Thanks!

Scheduled & published flying times vary a bit on these two segments but currently are showing:
UA 883 13:20 ORD-NRT
UA 837 7:05 NRT-BKK
actual flight times tend to be less, NRT-BKK is usually closer to 6:10.
Scheduled flight times for UA flights can be found in the PDF version of the timetable. (http://www.uatimetable.com/United.pdf?linkTitle=Worldwide+timetable+PDF)

Transpac pretty accurate, IMHO. I have taken the ANA/UA codeshare often from IAD to NRT and on to BKK, and always figure 14 hours to NRT and almost 7 to BKK. Coming back, 5 hours plus back to NRT and 11 or 11 plus to IAD.

heck ya the flight times are usually less...
NRT-BKK is usually about 6 hours (shorter west->east than east->west), and the SFO-NRT flight is in the 9-10 hour range (again, shorter west->east than east->west, by nearly an hour).
can't say how long the flight from ORD-SFO is...
